The Institute for Environmental Policy is organizing a seminar on World Wetlands Day, on 1st of February 2020, 10:15-12:15, at Qendra Rinore e Tiranës, Rr. e Kavajës. The seminar will inform the public on risks that wetlands and lagoons in Albania are faced with, as well as measures needed to be taken by Albania and especially Albanians citizens, to protect them.
Wetlands and lagoons are crucial for biodiversity and climate protection. 30% of land-based carbon is stored in peatlands.
